Housekeeper

SUMMARY:
Our client is seeking for a professional, honest and punctual Housekkeeper who demonstrates willingness to help and maintain a pleasant working environment to join the team.

Purpose of the role:
The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining a clean, hygienic, safe, and organised working environment within the office premises. The role ensures that all office areas, meeting rooms, kitchen facilities, bathrooms, and common areas are kept neat and presentable to support a professional workplace environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Cleaning and Hygiene

• Clean offices, workstations, meeting rooms, reception areas, kitchens, and bathrooms daily.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and polish floors as required.
• Dust and wipe furniture, desks, windows, and office equipment.
• Empty bins and dispose of waste in accordance with company procedures.
• Refill consumables such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper.
• Ensure kitchen and eating areas are clean and hygienic at all times.

• Use cleaning equipment and materials safely and correctly.
• Report damaged equipment or maintenance issues to management.
• Ensure cleaning supplies are stored safely and neatly.
• Monitor cleaning stock levels and report shortages.

• Adhere to health and safety standards and company policies.
• Use cleaning chemicals in accordance with safety instructions.
• Ensure walkways and office areas remain safe and hazard-free.
• Wear appropriate protective clothing where required.

• Assist with preparation of meeting rooms when required.
• Support office events and functions with cleaning and setup assistance.
• Perform additional cleaning duties as reasonably requested by management.

• Grade 10 or equivalent preferred.
• Basic literacy and numeracy skills.
• Previous cleaning experience in an office or commercial environment preferred.
• Experience working in a professional services environment will be advantageous.
• Knowledge of cleaning products and equipment.
• Understanding of hygiene and sanitation practices.
• Basic understanding of workplace health and safety standards.
• Attention to detail and cleanliness.
• Reliability and punctuality.
• Ability to work independently and follow instructions.
