A JSE listed banking institution that provides a comprehensive range of specialist financial products and services looking for an attentive and perceptive individual to join their savvy Human Capital team

POSITION INFO:

Main Purpose of The Job

To execute and co-ordinate any required administrative HC activities and processes aligned to business requirements in accordance to Company policies, processes and procedures, while ensuring compliance to all relevant legislation and delivering the desired service levels to effectively support the business.

Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Scheduling interviews and meetings
  • Conducting employment checks for successful candidates including credit, criminal, ID verification, fraud listing, WLF, qualifications and reference checks.
  • Undertaking a quarterly review of employee files to ensure all files are up to date and include the relevant documents per the checklists. Ensure that the BPs liaise with employees to obtain any outstanding information, and that these are provided within two weeks of the query being raised
  • Source the required audit sample documents for the BPs, when requested by internal or external auditors
    • Ordering gifts for employees as required by management (for illness and condolences)
    • Ordering stationery and maintaining the stationery cupboard
    • Appropriately archiving documents (Metrofile)
    • Manage the annual medical aid review
    • Administer the Employee Self Service (ESS) facility to ensure that all employees have access to the system and all information on the site is correct. Assist employees with password queries on the ESS system.
  • Ensure that there are photos for each employee on the Active Directory.
  • Collate information for the monthly email to the Group welcoming new joiners and send it to Marketing for formatting before distribution
  • Assist with various HR projects
  • Minute taking during performance counselling sessions and disciplinary enquiries
  • Collate information for submission of the employment equity report
  • Compile the monthly birthday lists and ensure that these dates are included in the Head of Human Capital’s calendar. Distribute the congratulatory email to employees on their birthdays.
  • Provide benefit statements, beneficiary nomination forms and other documents as requested.
