SUMMARY:
IFRS Specialist role available within the group office of a listed multinational in the Manufacturing industry - Chartered Accountants CA(SA) only. (EE/AA)

Job & Company Description:

Our client is one of South Africa’s leading concerns in the Manufacturing and Industrial industry sectors. They’ve been in operation for over 95 years and have a strong footprint in African countries as well. They are seeking the skills of a technically strong and ambitious Chartered Accountant CA(SA) to fill the role of Technical Accountant within their team. The successful incumbent must possess strong Group Reporting and IFRS exposure.

Duties:

Monthly Reporting
Preparation of Annual Financial Statements & Integrated Reports
IFRS Compliance & Implementation of New IFRS Standards
Drafting of Technical Papers and Opinions
VAT & Tax Calculations
Preparation of Management Accounts
Preparation of Budgets & Forecasts
Financial Analysis
Preparation of Audit Packs
Assistance with IFRS-related queries, reporting regulations etc
Liaison with external stakeholders and auditors
Adhoc Projects

Education & Minimum Experience Required:

Non- Negotiable: Must be a Chartered Accountant CA(SA) registered with SAICA
Must have no less than 5 years’ post articles experience within a production environment
Must come from a large, multinational or listed company
Experience working for a JSE-listed company highly preferred
Must have extensive SAP reporting experience

Skills Required:

Must have strong Microsoft Excel experience
Must be able to work under pressure and adhere to strict deadlines
Must have strong IFRS knowledge and Technical Reporting experience
