INSIGHTS ANALYST (DATA) (Relevant postgraduate qualifications in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering or Commercial field required)- AA/EE – CAPE TOWN

SUMMARY:

·       5+ years analytical or management consulting experience (or working in a similar role), or in the market research industry

·       Relevant postgraduate qualifications in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering or Commercial field required (MBA advantageous) 

POSITION INFO:

Key responsibilities will include:

·       Perform monthly and quarterly analyses to inform a deeper understanding of the Customer, provide insights and recommendations for driving increased customer acquisition, improved retention, and increased frequency of shop.

·       Designing appropriate Marketing performance management trackers, reports and dashboards

·       Measure and analyse marketing campaigns to better understand how marketing channels can better drive conversion, ROAS as well as customer acquisition.

·       Provide in-depth analysis to understand growth drivers, and collaborate to ensure ongoing data-driven optimisation of initiatives

·       Perform post campaign analyses to test the effectiveness of Marketing Campaigns and help drive improvements and efficiencies.

·       Work closely with the Senior Analyst to implement and optimise a CLV predictive model that will help drive acquisition and improve ROI.

·       Analysis of external market research to obtain insights– both potential and existing customer needs, perceptions, motivations, expectations, shopping behaviour, budgets, and lifestyles. Effective competitor analysis – including key product category analysis.

·       Contribute to the development of the marketing analytics capability with a focus on finding creative solutions to analysis, reporting and measurement, including tool customisation

·       Turn business questions into functional analysis to test internal questions and theories

·       Be the custodian of all customer-related data and insights

Qualifications and Experience:

·       5+ years analytical or management consulting experience (or working in a similar role), or in the market research industry

·       Relevant postgraduate qualifications in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering or Commercial field required (MBA advantageous) 

·       High proficiency in working with large data sets and business models

·       Data science exposure in a retail or e-commerce environment is beneficial

·       Experience using google sheets

·       Experience presenting to Exco and Upper Management

·       Advanced in Excel, Google Sheets, PowerPoint, SQL, R, Python, Qlikview and database extraction.

·       Expert in Google Analytics (certification advantageous)

·       Analytical and data-driven with a demonstrated ability to operate both strategically and tactically

·       Retail or e-commerce industry experience beneficial
