INTERIM HR & EMPLOYEE RELATIONS MANAGER (PART TIME)

Our Client in Rosslyn is seeking an experienced HR & Employee Relations professional to provide interim HR support to our growing automotive, New Energy Vehicle (NEV), and skills-development operations in Rosslyn.
This is an interim, part-time assignment requiring two days per week. This role reports directly to the Managing Director and may particularly suit an experienced independent HR consultant or an HR professional with existing consulting commitments who can provide hands-on support.

Minimum Profile & Requirements

• Education: Relevant qualification in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Labour Relations, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum 5 years of practical HR/IR experience, preferably at HR Manager, HR Business Partner, or Consultant level.
• Industry Knowledge: Experience in manufacturing, automotive, training, or an SME environment will be highly advantageous.
• Legal Expertise: Strong working knowledge of South African labour legislation and HR practices.
• Core Skills: Demonstrable experience handling disciplinary/grievance matters, drafting/reviewing employment-related contracts, and managing recruitment/onboarding.
• Execution: Ability to work independently, advise senior management, and maintain excellent written communication and record-keeping.

POSITION INFO:
Duties & Responsibilities: HR Operations: Manage day-to-day HR and employee-relations matters, including leave, attendance, absenteeism, and employee records. Talent Acquisition: Oversee recruitment, screening, interviews, and onboarding. Contract Management: Prepare and review employment, temporary, facilitator, and training-related contracts. Employee Relations: Support disciplinary, grievance, and performance-management processes. Compliance & Legal: Provide practical guidance on BCEA, LRA, EEA, and other applicable labour requirements, assisting with HR policies and procedures. Skills Development Support: Support training programme staffing and learner\/participant contracting where required. Advisory: Advise management on HR\/IR risks and recommend appropriate actions while maintaining confidential and accurate HR documentation.
