IP SERVICE TECHNICIAN

SUMMARY:
IP Service Technician required to provide a high standard of service, repair workmanship and technical support to all IP related products.

POSITION INFO:

 Main Duties :

• Service all IP and related products down to component level as per required standard, exercising necessary care in workmanship

• Conduct full testing and fault finding of all IP and related products booked in, ensuring proper product functioning

• Complete required job card administration after the product is repaired, quoted and beyond economic repair

• Assist with the evaluation and specification of IP faults including software and firmware updates

• Notify the relevant persons/departments of updates, modification or specification changes to products

• Provide In-house technical understanding on all products repaired

• Ensure all consumables used in repairs process are documented and invoiced accordingly

• Assist in periodic stock takes as per repair section requirements

• Hikvision component service and repair will be an advantage.

 Minimum Requirements

â–ª 10 years + experience in the Security IT field

â–ª Ability to read circuit diagrams

â–ª Relevant Electronic Qualification i.e. N6/T3/S4 or any equivalent Electronic standard

â–ª IT/Technical Qualification

â–ª Supervisory or management experience

â–ª Strong communication skills and dealings with customers and suppliers

â–ª Good technical house-keeping skills

â–ª Able to work every Saturday from 8:00 to 12:00

â–ª Computer literate
