IR Officer

SUMMARY:
A dynamic organization based in Midrand is looking to employ a IR Office with 3 – 5 years’ experience working with CCMA and Bargaining Councils.

POSITION INFO:
Minimum Requirements

• Matric
• Degree / National Diploma in Human Resource Management
• Valid drivers’ license and own reliable transport
• 3 – 5 years’ experience as an IR Officer
• Experience dealing with Road / Freight / Logistics Bargaining Councils
• In depth knowledge of the LRA, BCEA, CCMA and Bargaining Councils’ Rules and relevant case law
• Draft and update (where required) all IR and/or labour related policies and procedures
• Develop and conduct Industrial Relations and/or Labour related training to management and employees
• Facilitate the implementation of regular meetings between management and organized labour (Unions, Workers Forum and Workers Representatives)
• Draft opinions regarding IR and/or labour related matters to management
• Handover of all relevant information and documentation in respect of all Labour Court matters, including reviews to Attorney’s appointed to deal with such matters
• Train managers and employees on current legislation and IR and/or labour policies and procedures
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and writing ability
• Responsible for attending to conciliations, arbitrations and other matters at the CCMA and Bargaining Councils including drafting of required applications, affidavits, notices and correspondence and any other documentation
