SUMMARY:
IT Architect – Contract Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced IT Architect to develop enterprise and technology architecture across the IT domain. The successful candidate will help select new technologies, design effective platforms and create architecture strategies that deliver measurable business value.

Working model: Hybrid
Duration: Initial 3-month contract, with possible extension
Rate: R600 per hour
Closing date: 3 September 2026

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain enterprise and domain architecture across information, data, application and technology layers Define baseline, target and transition architectures Develop technology strategies, architecture roadmaps and implementation plans Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend solutions that provide business value Support projects with architecture research, analysis, design reviews and recommendations Assess enterprise dependencies, solution options, architecture gaps and readiness Establish architecture governance, standards and policies Maintain the architecture repository and identify reusable architecture building blocks Collaborate with executives, business stakeholders, service providers and geographically dispersed teams Support vendor selection, solution design, costing and non-functional requirements Mentor and develop team members Minimum Requirements Bachelor's degree in an IT-related field At least 8 years' experience in a corporate IT environment , including senior leadership roles At least 8 years' IT technology architecture experience Technical experience in application development, deployment, implementation or infrastructure Experience across the full technology solutions architecture lifecycle Experience developing technology and systems strategies and roadmaps Experience creating standards and policies governing IT Experience managing IT infrastructure and application services within multinational organisations Experience working with external suppliers and offshore resources Strong business and financial acumen Excellent stakeholder management, leadership, negotiation and communication skills Fluent written and spoken English Preferred Certifications TOGAF or an equivalent architecture qualification MDP, MBA or an equivalent management qualification Apply by sending your CVs to .
