Job Purpose

Responsible for maintaining and administering multiple organisation''''''''s databases

Out puts

Database maintenance including building of indexes, scheduled jobs, clearing locks, space management and back-ups

Processes

In-depth knowledge of MS-SQL, including database replication and SQL Always On. 

Maintain backups and restore databases

Maintain database access

Database restore, deployment and structural changes

Implement data change requests

Performance tuning

Assist with the writing of TSQL code

Configuring and management High-Availability Databases

Define and document database standards and processes

In-depth knowledge of MS-SQL, including database replication and SQL Always On.

Essential

Microsoft Certified Database Administrator (MCDBA)

Qualifications

B.Tech, B.Com or B.Sc. Computer Science or Information Systems or B.Eng.
