Duties:

• Plan and execute risk based IT audits in line with the annual audit strategy.
• Review IT general controls, including access management, change processes, operations, and backup/recovery procedures.
• Evaluate application controls across key business systems such as ERP, HR, Finance, and custom applications.
• Identify and document IT risks and control weaknesses, recommending actionable solutions to strengthen controls.
• Conduct audits following internal methodology and international standards (IIA/ISACA), and communicate findings to senior management.
• Provide guidance on system implementations, migrations, and control design while keeping up with emerging technology and cybersecurity trends.
• Lead, mentor, and develop junior IT audit staff, contributing to audit program enhancements and best practices
• Gain a deep understanding of IT operations and how they support overall business objectives.

• Matric (Grade 12)
• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
• CA(SA) designation (required)
• Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) – mandatory.
• IT or audit certifications, such as CRISC, CGEIT, or ISO 27001 Lead Auditor

• 5 - 7 years of hands on experience in IT Audit, IT Risk, or IT Assurance roles.
• Strong practical experience in IT operations, including system administration, network management, backup/recovery, and change management.
• Deep understanding of IT General Controls (ITGCs), Application Controls, and System Implementation Reviews.
• Experience auditing ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Syspro, Sage, or Microsoft Dynamics.
• Familiarity with IT frameworks and standards, including COBIT, ISO 27001, NIST, and ITIL.
• Exposure to cybersecurity assessments, data analytics, and cloud-based environments is a plus.

• Comprehensive knowledge of IT operations, including network infrastructure, databases, and operating systems (Windows, Linux, SQL).
• Proficient in data analysis and audit automation using tools such as ACL, IDEA, Power BI, or Excel.
• Good understanding of cybersecurity principles, access management, and the system development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent report writing, presentation, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
