OUR BLUE CHIP CLIENT WHO OPERATES IN THE FINANCIAL, INSURANCE & HEALTHCARE WELLNESS SPACE FOR INDIVIDUALS, FAMILIES AND BUSINESSES; IS CURRENTLY LOOKING TO EMPLOY A TEAM LEADER: IT DEVELOPMENT.

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:

  • Leading the Development Team in the design, development, coding, testing and debugging of applications to achieve the required outcomes within the required SLA.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

INTERNAL PROCESS:

  • Perform Scrum Master/Project Manager duties to deliver quality, effective software, in line with the agreed development process and business needs.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, conduct analysis and prioritise requests.
  • Conduct research and evaluate potential technical solutions to identified business problems.
  • Day to day management of team members.
  • Guide and assist team on a daily basis.
  • Ensure that team members are equipped to meet their development targets and SLA’s.
  • Partner with Business and/or System Analysts to translate business requirements into workable solutions and document solutions into technical specifications.
  • Contribute to user acceptance testing (UAT) and training material to ensure that functionality is working correctly.
  • Provide stakeholders with regular feedback on the technical design and timelines for solution ensuring that business needs are met.
  • Monitor performance of solutions and make recommendations to improve the performance and functionality of the solution.

KNOWLEDGE:

  • Knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
  • Knowledge of software testing
  • Knowledge of writing test cases
  • Microsoft SQL Server 2008/2014 (Compulsory)
  • Object Orientated programming skills and principles
  • C#
  • Web Development (ASP.NET, WEBAPI, CSS, HTML)
  • JavaScript
  • Web Services
  • Full stack Software Development Experience

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Com/Bus Sci (IS); or
  • (Comp); or
  • Tech IT (Software Development); or
  • Dip IT (Software Development)
  • Leadership or Management qualification (advantageous)
  • 5 Years software development experience (essential)
  • 2 Years full stack software development experience (advantageous)
  • Leading a Software Development team experience (advantageous)
