About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic IT Intern to join our Information Technology team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their technical skills in a real‑world environment and gain hands‑on experience across a wide range of IT functions. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the organisation’s day‑to‑day technical operations. You will assist end users with troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues while learning to maintain and support IT systems, devices, and applications. You will also be involved in system updates, routine maintenance, IT asset management, and the implementation of new technologies. As an IT Intern, you will work closely with the IT Administrator to gain exposure to server environments, cloud platforms, security practices, and modern workplace technologies. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for technology, strong problem‑solving skills, and a desire to grow within the IT field.

POSITION INFO:
Minimum Requirements

• Matric and a relevant IT qualification (A+, N+, MCSE, or equivalent).
• Strong understanding of Windows operating systems and Microsoft 365.
• Basic knowledge of networking principles (TCP/IP, Wi-Fi, DNS, DHCP).
• Good problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate clearly, professionally, and patiently with end users.
• Ability to work independently, follow instructions, and manage multiple tasks.
• A positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and willingness to take on new challenges.

• Provide first- and second-line technical support to staff via phone, email, remote assistance tools, or in person.
• Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, printers, and peripherals.
• Assist in managing and troubleshooting network connectivity issues and system performance problems.
• Perform routine system updates, backups, security checks, and general IT housekeeping tasks.
• Support user onboarding processes, including account creation, device setup, profile configuration, and permissions.
• Log, track, and update support requests through the IT helpdesk system.
• Maintain accurate records of IT assets, equipment, and software inventories.
• Assist with patch management, antivirus monitoring, system health checks, and basic server administration under supervision.
• Escalate complex or unresolved issues to the IT Administrator, ERP Manager, or external service providers when required.
• Participate in the rollout and testing of new technologies, system upgrades, and IT improvement projects.
