IT Internal Auditor

SUMMARY:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced IT Internal Auditor to join our team. The IT Internal Auditor will be responsible for assessing and evaluating the effectiveness of IT controls, processes, and systems within the organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT audit methodologies, risk management, and information security, with the ability to identify potential areas of improvement and provide recommendations for enhancing the IT governance framework.

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities:

1. Conduct comprehensive audits of IT systems, processes, and controls to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and internal policies.
2. Evaluate the effectiveness of IT governance, risk management, and internal control practices.
3. Assess the security of IT infrastructure, networks, and applications to identify vulnerabilities and potential security breaches.
4. Review and analyze IT policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure alignment with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
5. Collaborate with IT teams to develop and implement remediation plans for identified deficiencies and weaknesses.
6. Prepare audit reports detailing findings, recommendations, and action plans for management review.
7. Stay abreast of emerging trends, technologies, and regulatory changes in the IT audit and information security field.
8. Provide guidance and support to management and staff on IT control issues and risk mitigation strategies.
9. Participate in special projects and initiatives as assigned by senior management.

1. Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Accounting, or related field. Advanced degree or professional certifications (CISA, CISSP, CISM, CRISC) preferred.
2. Minimum of X years of experience in IT audit, risk management, or information security roles.
3. Strong understanding of IT governance frameworks, such as COBIT, ITIL, and NIST Cybersecurity Framework.
4. Proficiency in conducting IT audits, including planning, fieldwork, documentation, and reporting.
5. Knowledge of ACL, short term insurance and IT audits
6. Experience with IT risk assessment methodologies and tools.
7. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
8. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with individuals at all levels of the organization.
9. Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy and integrity.
10. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
