JOB SUMMARY:
Our Client within the banking field is looking for a IT Production Specialist to oversee the supporting team

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Incident & Problem management

Ensuring that all incidents are classified based on the level of operational impact to business.
Providing input and guidelines to Monitoring dashboards/ Monitoring system and monitoring requirements to ensure speedy detection and resolution driving stability and improving availability.
Ensuring changes implemented affecting business services are documented and communicated to the Production Team,
Planning and implementing knowledge transfer sessions for Production Teams to ensure operational support continuity.
Implementing, optimising and maintaining internal processes to ensure stability, operational effectiveness and efficiencies.
Liaise with relevant parties responsible for the service availability to re-establish, stabilise, optimise and or improve services
Providing relevant communication to affected business units and IT in the event of service outage or degradation
Coordination of events/incidents and problems causing partial or full outages of business services up to resolution or workaround
Risk identification and risk logging

Quality

Implement improvements in the productions support teams
Manage expectations with business, ensure relevant and accurate communication is sent to business in the event of outages and impairments. Collaborate with Change Management, Quality Assurance QA and Development on requirements to resolve/stabilize or improve application platforms
Review changes pre and post implementation.
Drive improvement process to ensure quality code is delivered within the Test and Development areas which deliver operational stability of services

Configuration Management

Ensure changes are registered with all relevant documentation for implementations.
Verify code readiness for deployment with Dev, and QA
Ensure deployment packages are complete based on the respective changes and all associated artefacts of these changes
Verify all parameters for implementation are documented
Ensure that changes are communicated to Exco, Manco, Enterprise Monitoring Team, Problem
Management, Incident Management and Service Level Management teams
Ensuring changes implemented affecting business services are documented and communicated to the Production, Problem Management, APM, Service level Management and Service desk teams.
Manage Post implementation reviews to assess post change impact

Minimum Experience

10 Years Relevant Experience
RPG/AS400 skills a requirement
