IT Project Manager – Johannesburg
R580K – R850K

An opportunity is here for a seasoned IT Project Manager to join a team in a company that is a global giant in the FMCG space. The ideal incumbent will be responsible for the design, delivery, and maintenance of his projects.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Responsibilities:

Project Management:
Contributing to defining the solutions roadmap and portfolio management
Managing IT projects and delivering solutions on time, on budget and on scope, respecting quality standards
Managing project resources (internal and external
Ensuring the successful implementation of the organizational change management plan.
Monitoring project progress and producing project reporting
Minimizing the exposure to the project risks
Engaging and working with other IT areas, as CoE, to design/define the solution architecture
Building and following up project budget
Analyzing the business needs and produce the high-level functional specs
Following the PM methodology producing and storing the outputs according to the that.

IT Solutions Advisory:
Bringing assistance to affiliates, maintaining strong relationships with local teams, identifying, and sharing best practices through expert missions.

Vendor Management:
Manage and evaluate vendors to ensure continuous improvement.

Qualifications & Experience:

Masters or equivalent on computer sciences
Project Management Experience
Experience dealing with various levels within a company
Demonstrated expertise in both infrastructure operations and application development /deployment in large scale IT environment
Proven track record of institutionalizing leading-practice methodologies and processes
International experience, lived and worked in multiple cultures
Exceptional analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities
Experience with data processing flowcharting techniques
Advanced knowledge of ERP (JD Edward or Navision), supply Chain, Manufacturing and HR tools.
