Requirements:

Matric/Grade 12, Relevant tertiary qualification/Informatics degree.

Advantageous: Post Graduate degree/Honours degree / Business Analyst diploma, BABOK Certification, Agile Certification

Minimum of 5 years previous experience as a Senior Business Analyst in software development projects.

Minimum of 2 years experience in Agile Software development Projects.

Business Analyst experience in the Retail Industry (Advantageous).

Additional Advantageous:

Logical reasoning and problem-solving.
Customer-focused approach to work.
Strong presentation skills / Power Point presentations.

Project Management skills

Job Purpose:

The Senior Agile Business Analyst (BA) will elicit, facilitate, synthesize, and present technical solutions.
The Agile BA will use business requirements to drive the design or review of products, test cases, business process design and define a project’s vision, scope, acceptance, and implementation.
The successful candidate will form part of the IT team and report to the Digital Innovation Manager.

Our ideal candidate can work on multiple projects simultaneously and translate business data into usable information, which will help to improve systems and processes.

Responsibilities:

Consult various customer (internal and external) to understand their value chain, structure, functions, and products and/or services.
Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external customers.

Challenge the business in their thinking, especially to understand the intent of the business requirement.

With little supervision, elicit, gather, analyze, document, validate and communicate business requirements (Agile and Waterfall Formats)

Determine the feasibility of a proposed project.
Understand the commercial importance of changes or new features.
Estimate total project duration based on experience.

Working closely with Programme Managers, workstream Managers and stakeholders in identifying and managing dependencies.

Perform Process Re-engineering of customer processes.
Facilitate JAD Sessions
Manage User Acceptance Testing

Perform Scrum Master Tasks for the internal development team and co-orientate with external supplier development teams.
