POSITION INFO:
Join a dynamic IT environment where you will be responsible for the operational management of server infrastructure and end-user support services. This role combines technical leadership, service improvement, team management, and infrastructure oversight to ensure stable, secure, and reliable technology services across the business. You will play a critical role in managing support operations, analysing service trends, improving service delivery, and driving operational efficiencies while serving as the key link between technical teams and senior infrastructure leadership. This opportunity is ideal for a proactive leader who enjoys balancing people management with hands-on operational oversight. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage daily operations across Server and Desktop Support teams Oversee infrastructure availability, performance, backups, patching, and maintenance activities Analyse service desk trends, identify recurring issues, and drive corrective actions Manage project delivery, resource allocation, and operational priorities Act as the first escalation point for infrastructure and endpoint-related incidents Drive continual service improvement and improve first-time resolution rates Lead team development, performance management, coaching, and skills enhancement initiatives Ensure compliance with governance, security, audit, and risk management requirements Produce operational reports, trend analyses, and service improvement recommendations for leadership Job Experience and Skills Required: Education: Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field Experience: 5-10 years of hands-on technical experience within IT Infrastructure and Operations environments Minimum 4 years' experience managing technical teams Experience managing both server and end-user computing environments Experience analysing IT service desk data, tickets, and operational trends Technical Skills: Strong understanding of Windows and Linux server environments Virtualisation, storage, backup, and disaster recovery technologies Desktop and endpoint management (Windows 11 and related technologies) IT Service Management and incident management processes Cybersecurity principles related to infrastructure and end-user technologies Service desk tools and ticketing systems Advantageous Certifications: ITSM Certification PMP or PRINCE2 CISSP, CISM, Security+, or Network+ Microsoft Windows Server, Azure, or Linux certifications Additional Requirements: Strong leadership, coaching, and people management skills Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset Client-centric approach and commitment to service excellence Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Apply now!
