Financial Controller

SUMMARY:
Our client, a well-established and dynamic organisation within the property sector, is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to join their finance team in Sandton. This is an exciting opportunity for a technically strong finance professional looking to take the next step in their career within a sophisticated property environment.

If you are a CA(SA) with 3–5 years’ post-qualification experience and have a strong understanding of property finance, this role offers the opportunity to take ownership of key financial reporting and control functions within a growing and commercially focused organisation.

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities: Oversee the financial control function across the property portfolio. Prepare and review monthly management accounts and financial reporting. Manage month-end and year-end close processes. Perform detailed balance sheet reconciliations and review financial data for accuracy. Monitor property-related income, expenditure, and financial performance. Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis. Ensure strong financial controls and compliance with relevant accounting standards. Support audit processes and liaise with external auditors. Provide financial analysis and insights to support commercial decision-making. Work closely with property and operational stakeholders on financial matters. Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, reporting, and controls. Qualifications & Experience: CA(SA) qualification is essential. 3-5 years' relevant post-qualification experience required. Property industry experience is non-negotiable. MDA \/ MRI experience is non-negotiable. Strong technical accounting and financial reporting experience. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong Excel and financial systems knowledge. High attention to detail and accuracy. Strong commercial acumen and ability to engage with senior stakeholders. Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities. Apply today!
