Financial Controller

SUMMARY:
A well-established and growing property organization is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to join its finance team.

POSITION INFO:
This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded CA(SA) with strong property-sector experience and hands-on exposure to MDA . The successful candidate will take responsibility for financial control, reporting and ensuring the integrity and accuracy of the organization's financial operations and manage a team of financial professionals. Minimum Requirements CA(SA) qualification is essential. Proven experience within the property industry is essential . Strong hands-on experience with MDA Property Management System is essential. Minimum 3 years' relevant post-articles experience . Strong financial accounting and reporting background. Excellent understanding of financial controls and accounting processes. Advanced Excel skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Must be comfortable working fully office based . Key Responsibilities Oversee the financial accounting and reporting functions across the property portfolio. Prepare and review monthly management accounts and financial reports. Ensure accurate and timely month-end and year-end reporting. Manage and review general ledger, balance sheet reconciliations and financial controls. Analyse property-level financial performance, income, expenditure and profitability. Assist with budgeting, forecasting and cash-flow management. Monitor and review property-related expenses and recoveries. Ensure accurate accounting for rental income, operating costs and property transactions. Utilise MDA to ensure accurate property financial reporting and data integrity. Prepare financial information and reporting packs for senior management. Support annual audits and ensure compliance with accounting standards and statutory requirements. Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, controls and efficiencies.
