IT Technician

SUMMARY:

This exciting company is currently seeking an experienced IT Technician to join their growing team based in Somerset West. As an IT Technician, you will be responsible for providing end-user support, provisioning hardware and software, and troubleshooting IT systems. You will serve as the first line of support for all IT incidents, ensuring prompt resolution and excellent customer service.

POSITION INFO:

Job Description:
Act as the first point of contact for all IT incidents, monitoring and updating the helpdesk system.
Install and upgrade hardware for laptops and desktops, loading operating systems, drivers, and software.
Troubleshoot hardware issues, including laptops, audio-visual equipment, telephony, printers, and more.
Log calls and collaborate with third-party vendors to resolve issues related to faulty hardware or software.
Provide general day-to-day system administration and troubleshoot IT systems as needed.
Work closely with the team and end-users to ensure seamless technology operations.
Maintain an up-to-date asset register of all IT equipment.
Maintain the physical network infrastructure.

Skills & Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role.
Microsoft 365 and Azure experience is advantageous.

Qualification:
2- or 3-year IT qualification from a recognized institution
A+, N+, MCSA, MCSE certifications are advantageous
Azure Fundamentals Certified and Microsoft365 Fundamentals Certified are advantageous
