Please note that this position is Temporary

POSITION INFO:

Purpose of the Role

  • To implement and manage an ICT Strategy aligned to the strategic objectives of the organisation.
  • To ensure ICT Governance compliance and reporting
  • To implement systems to establish and maintain the security and integrity of data.
  • To evaluate, manage and maintain an accurate and efficient management information system (MIS).
  • To oversee the development of the planned phased roll out of the inhouse integrated ERP system focusing on the priority modules (Discretionary Grant, Workplace Skills Plan/ Annual Training Report submission)
  • To provide support to department managers regarding performance planning, management, monitoring and reporting.
  • Information Technology Management including infrastructure and vendor management.
  • To oversee Facilities Management for the organisation, ensuring a safe and conducive working environment.

3.  Knowledge / Competence

      3.1  Knowledge

  • Establishment and management of databases (Oracle, MySQL).
  • Management of e-learning systems.
  • Information technology principles, methodologies and procedures.
  • ITIL, COBIT and King IV.
  • IT risk assessment and management.
  • Budget management.
  • IT security management.
  • WAN / LAN, Network setup, configuration and troubleshooting.
  • Information technology hardware and software.
  • IT requirements and guiding frameworks within the public entity sector.
  • Policy Review and development
  • PFMA

  4.  Qualification and Experience

  • Appropriate degree or advanced Business Diploma.
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in the IT industry at a senior managerial level.
  • Must have solid technical experience.
  • Programming
