The Industrial Engineer will be responsible for analyzing and optimizing manufacturing processes to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and ensure product quality. This role requires a proactive individual with a strong background in industrial engineering within the textile industry
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing a team of Industrial Engineers
- Analyze and optimize textile manufacturing processes and workflows
- Implement and maintain lean manufacturing principles
- Conduct time and motion studies to enhance production efficiency
- Develop and oversee quality control systems to ensure product standards
- Coordinate with production managers and other departments to streamline operations
- Design and implement cost-saving measures and waste reduction strategies
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company standards
- Prepare and present production reports to stakeholders.
- Evaluate and integrate new technologies to improve manufacturing processes
- Provide training and guidance to production staff on best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Textile Engineering, or a related field (Only B.Eng will be considered)
- Proven experience in industrial engineering
- Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and practices
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Proficiency in relevant software tools and technologies
Location Requirement: Candidates must reside in Newcastle, KZN, or be willing to relocate to the area
