Industrial Engineer

Our client in the Automotive Sector based in the Port Elizabeth area is currently looking to employ an Industrial Engineer.

Responsibilities:

• Timeously and effectively implement tooling, gauging, equipment, and methods for new products in accordance with Quality Procedures / Management Handbook / SAP.
• Timeously and effectively implement process improvement and changes in accordance with Quality Procedures / Management Handbook / SAP.
• Evaluate, justify, and implement improvements as regards cost saving quality, capacity, ergonomics, and safety, by interaction with Toolroom, production, Quality Assurance, Maintenance, Marketing, Product Development and Purchasing.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Minimum education Degree in Mechanical Engineering - Completed Internship
• Knowledge of production processes and machine capabilities.
• Knowledge of tool room practices and machine capabilities.
• Knowledge of drawing practices and drawing standards for tooling and gauging.
• Knowledge of job costing and work study.
• Computer literacy, CAD literacy & SAP.
• Relevant P.C skills in data acquisition, Processing of statistics & presenting reports.
