SUMMARY:
A well-established company based in Cape Town is offering an exciting Industrial Engineer Internship for a graduate with a passion for quality, data-driven improvement and continuous optimisation with possibility to go permanent.

POSITION INFO:

Requirements

Technical qualification or Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or related field
Minimum 1 year experience in an industrial engineering or manufacturing environment (internship or work experience included)
Strong proficiency in data analysis and SPC; CAD experience (advantageous)
Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma principles (beneficial)
Strong communication skills with the ability to work across multiple departments
Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to perform under pressure

Duties

Analyse production data, workflows and equipment efficiency to improve quality and reduce operational costs
Develop and maintain quality control (QC) procedures, inspection methods and testing standards
Apply Statistical Process Control (SPC) to monitor process capability and product reliability
Investigate quality issues and non-conformances, performing root cause analysis through to corrective action implementation
Drive lean and continuous improvement initiatives, including Kaizen events and Value Stream Mapping
Create and maintain SOPs, engineering documentation and quality control standards
