Industrial Relations Officer

SUMMARY:
Responsible for providing sound IR service to the company.

POSITION INFO:
RESPONSIBILITIES

• All IR functions, including disciplinary hearings
• Ensuring Company policies and procedures are applied
• Facilitate, develop and conduct IR training and other IR processes such as Conflict Management
• Establishing employment equity structures and monitoring targets
• Advise on IR and legal issues
• Facilitating incapacity and poor work performance procedures
• Attend disciplinary enquiries
• Attend meetings, negotiate and liaise with Unions
• Travel to Branches to attend to IR matters when required

• Relevant qualification
• Minimum 5 years IR experience and chairing hearings
• Sound knowledge of and ability to interpret labour legislation, LRA, BCEA etc
• Willing to travel
• Experience in manufacturing and industrialized environment
