Information Systems Manager

SUMMARY:
Our client in the Automotive Industry has an opportunity available for an Information Systems Manager to be based in the Benoni, Johannesburg area.

POSITION INFO:

Requirements:

• 5 years IT Management and related experience.
• 2 year IT related tertiary qualification.
• Knowledge with Microsoft Active Directory on Server 2008/2012.
• Knowledge of JD Edwards and Oracle databases.
• Knowledge of SQL Query language and administration of databases.
• Knowledge of Local and Wide Area networking.
• Knowledge of Virtual Computing - VM Ware and Hyper-V.
• 2 to 3 years Knowledge of PeopleSoft (JD Edwards) ERP system - desirable
• 2 to 3 experience administering MS Exchange 2008/2012 - desirable
• B Sc. Computer Science, B.Com Degree or equivalent tertiary qualification - desirable
• Knowledge of Oracle 10g RDBMS system - desirable
• Knowledge of business intelligence and data warehousing - desirable
• Code 08 drivers licence with no endorsements
• Must own reliable motor vehicle

• Familiar with Windows networking concepts, e.g. Domain security model, login scripts and able to debug and resolve connectivity issues.
• Familiar with network cabling types and devices, e.g. hubs, switches, fiber optic cable and transceivers. Understand routers, NTU''s and their roles.
• Familiar with administration of Windows 2008/2012 servers, creation and management of users, synchronization of passwords across Active Directory.
• Familiar with correct configuration of Exchange clients and Intranet/Internet connectivity. The role of DNS, and canonical namespaces.
• Familiar with PC hardware, installation and upgrading of equipment.
• Familiar with PC software, Microsoft Office suite, and other software packages, like MS Project, Adobe Acrobat, Visio and data recovery software.
• Familiar with network protocols, their installation and configuration, e.g. TCP/IP version 4 and 6.
• Familiar with Cisco router IOS, TCP/IP routing concepts, and firewalls.
• Familiar with data circuit options offered by Telkom and other network providers, including: Diginet, ISDN, , ADSL, and MPLS. Their benefits and suitability for various applications.

KPAs:

• Create and manage IT strategy including cloud, streamlining operations and implement innovative solutions to meet business objectives
• Create and adapt technological platforms to improve the client/ customer experience
• Plan and direct the implementation of new and upgrading of existing IT systems and thereby establishing IT-related projects
• Manage information technology and computer systems (Windows Server, SQL Server, Microsoft Exchange Email Server, IBM Lotus Notes, Active Directory, Mitel, TCP/IP, Oracle Database, M365, O365)
• Manage and administer the financial accounting packages utilised by the company (JD Edwards,TM1 Cognos)
• Develop and implement policies and procedures for electronic data processing and computer systems operations and development
• Control and manage the IT budgets and expenditures including CAPEX and OPEX for the entire company
• Manage, develop and implement internal information technology solutions, i.e. intranet, Manage, develop and implement website design and updates, Ensure technology is accessible and equipped with current hardware and software (ASP.net, .NET, Internet Information Server IIS, LAMP, WAMP, Javascript, CSS)
