JOB SUMMARY:
IT engineer Infrastructure

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Urgent appointment -( EE) Employment Equity

Our Multinational client in the Southern suburbs of CPT require An IT Infrastructure Engineer with proven minimum 5 years networks/infrastructure(Maintenance & implementation) experience to join their IT team.

Qualifications

Matric
Microsoft MCSA or MCSE certification
VMware VCP certification
Appropriate network certification

Please note the following requirements A MUST HAVE

Has at least 5 years practical experience in similar roles
Certified in MCSE, Fortinet and ITIL
Must have a stable track record
Has infrastructure design and project experience
Worked with Cisco & Fortigate firewalls
Has VEEAM and VMware experience
Has worked with Solarwinds
Has decent Microsoft Server exposure

Experience

Minimum 5 years Networks/Infrastructure (Maintenance & Implementation) experience
Sound knowledge of OSI layers, network architecture and protocols (TCP/IP, SSH, SCP, Ethernet, IPsec, WAN, VPN, MPLS)
Cisco ASA or PIX
Microsoft Windows Server including AD and GPO
Ubuntu
EMC SAN and fabric experience
EMC RecoverPoint
Fortinet Experience
VMware vSAN experience
VEEAM experience
AWS infrastructure management
IT System Security within the Banking Industry
Wireshark or Packet Capturing Experience
Excellent general troubleshooting experience

Advantages:

Understanding and implementation of IT Security best practices
Cloud certifications or experience (AWS/Azure)
Understanding of PCI methodologies
SDDC/Hyper-Converged Infrastructure
CCNA
Windows Powershell
Scripting and automation
