Installation & Support Technician - Rivonia

The incumbent will be based in Johannesburg with regular travel around the Johannesburg and other nearby areas.

The successful applicant will be reporting to the IT Manager.

This is an operational role providing technical support to our branches in the retail industry (clothing stores), during office hours as well as

after hours and on weekends on a rotational basis.

Job Specification

• Repair, upgrade, configure and install desktop computers, point of sale systems, printers, other peripherals.

• Provide training to users on installed systems and software programs

• Support, troubleshoot and resolution of call outs.

• Head Office remote support and ticket administration.

Minimum Requirements:

• IT qualification is highly recommended (preferably with N+ and A+)

• Windows networking experience

• Must have at least 2 years’ experience in the IT field

• IT Technical Support background (essential)

• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills

• Problem-solving skills

• Must be able to work independently with minimum supervision

• Ability to manage small projects independently to a conclusion.

• Own reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license (essential)

• Must be willing to work irregular hours and to travel long distances

Highly Preferable:

• Retail Experience

• Windows Support Experience

• Network Administration
