Insurance Account Executive

Candidate with previous exposure to the short term insurance industry required to quote on new Personal Lines Insurance and perform general underwriting duties, for this established Short Term Insurance Brokerage, based in Kloof, KZN.

Minimum requirements:

• Grade 12 essential
• 1-3 years’ experience, preferably in the short term insurance industry required
• FAIS compliancy preferred, or willingness to attend Learnership Programme to obtain qualifications
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills essential

Responsibilities:

• Contacting prospective clients to promote short term insurance products – leads provided to perform telephonic sales
• Quoting on new business – Personal Lines Insurance
• Establishing insurance needs with prospective client
• Comparing current cover and quotations to inhouse products and quote accordingly
• Processing of application
• Issuing policies
• Client liaison and relationship management
• Typing of all correspondence, quotations, spreadsheets, etc
• Collecting unpaid premiums
• Telephonic queries
• Updating client records
