POSITION INFO:
We are growing the CyberPro Consulting team and are actively looking for a Business Risk and Monitoring Manager to join the team with the following skills:

Essential Skills:

• Act as the subject matter expert for Compliance and Risk related policies and provide training in the different business unit areas to ensure that the business adopts a risk and compliance culture.
• Collaborate and liaise with all internal stakeholders (Compliance, Regulatory and Operational teams, etc.) to ensure that the business finalizes the action plans; ensures evidence of the closure of the findings, and keeps the records.
• Compile and present qualitative reports for the monthly Business, Risk, and Governance meetings and for consolidation into Business and other Governance meetings to ensure that any high-risk or material findings are highlighted and monitored and the agreed actions (if any) are implemented.
• Continuously Implement, monitor, maintain, and update a Risk Management and Compliance monitoring framework that is specific per business area and aligned to Group compliance and Risk Frameworks, that set out the key phases of monitoring (i.e. planning, execution, reporting, and record-keeping) and that it is effective and compliant with regulatory requirements.
• Develop, implement, and monitor a framework that ensures all FAIS representatives and JSE traders meet the regulatory requirements and that all staff meet the business requirements for all compliance training and policies.
• Interpret changes in legislation into business impact and in conjunction with developing the Business Response and Plans to ensure compliance.
• Interpret the regulatory Risk & Compliance monitoring and reporting requirements in conjunction with the Group Compliance & Risk Management Functions into a business monitoring plan taking into account the existing Business strategic plans. This includes all the relevant aspects (Core & high-risk regulatory requirements as depicted on the regulatory universes; Business Strategy; Compliance risks and exposures)

• Proactively identify and manage risks during the project implementation stage by Conducting a Change risk management process to ensure that the business appropriately mitigates risks
• Proactively manage audit findings to avoid duplicate findings and ensure proactive identification of known issues
• Management of risk and control meetings and follow-up on action items
• Maintain relationships with stakeholders, including business heads, Compliance Officers, management teams, specialist compliance functions, Group Compliance Monitoring, and Internal Audit.
• Identify potential gaps, manage and implement controls in respect of regulatory Risk and Governance Requirements in business
• Provide assurance that Business adheres to the requirements of the Risk Management plans, including meeting all of the Compliance and Regulatory requirements.
• Provide guidance and advice to the Business on any Compliance or Regulatory requirements, aligning with matters to the line managers, and other members of the team and to the greater business as and when required

• Business Commerce Degree
• Compliance and Risk Management qualification / Legal Qualification essential
• Completion of Compliance Officer exams (FAIS and JSE)

• 3-4 years - Deep level of understanding and experience of working in a Risk and compliance advisory capacity within the Insurance industry
• 3-4 years - Solid understanding of the insurance management industry including available products and services; knowledge of the regulatory frameworks; understanding of distribution channels and the fit and proper requirements
