Intermediate Project Manager – Mining & Technology Delivery (Contract)

Drive impactful projects at the intersection of mining operations and technology.

Our client, a leading player in the mining sector, is seeking a dynamic Intermediate Project Manager to deliver critical projects across Operational Technology (OT), Infrastructure, Cyber, and Information Platforms. POSITION INFO:
What You'll Do Lead end-to-end delivery of medium-complexity projects within mining and operational environments Partner with cross-functional teams (IT, OT, engineering, and business stakeholders) to ensure seamless execution Manage project scope, timelines, budgets, and risks in alignment with PMO standards Drive stakeholder engagement , including reporting to senior leadership and steering committees Coordinate internal teams, vendors, and offshore partners to ensure high-quality delivery Support change management and adoption across project lifecycle Ensure strong governance through accurate documentation, reporting, and compliance with standards Why This Role Stands Out Work on technology-enabled mining transformation initiatives Exposure to OT environments and digital mining platforms Opportunity to operate in a globally matrixed organisation Hybrid working model offering flexibility What We're Looking For Proven experience managing projects in mining, industrial, or heavy industry environments (highly advantageous) Strong understanding of project management methodologies (PMP, CAPM, or equivalent required) Experience delivering projects across IT\/OT landscapes (Infrastructure, Cyber, OT systems) Ability to operate confidently in PMO-driven governance environments Proficiency with MS Project or similar scheduling tools Demonstrated experience managing vendors and distributed teams Excellent communication skills, with confidence engaging senior stakeholders Key Strengths Strong leadership and stakeholder engagement skills Ability to manage complexity in operationally critical environments Proactive risk and issue management mindset Results-driven with a focus on delivery excellence If you're ready to bring your project expertise into a mining-focused environment and deliver high-value transformation initiatives, this opportunity is for you.
