About the Role:
We’re looking for an Intermediate Developer to maintain, design, and improve our
software — ensuring business continuity, driving enhancements, and keeping our systems running smoothly. You’ll play a key role in troubleshooting issues, implementing updates, and collaborating with internal teams to bring ideas to life.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain business continuity by ensuring the software is stable and efficient.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve software issues quickly and effectively.
• Implement minor feature updates, bug fixes, and optimizations.
• Document all changes clearly and comprehensively.
• Collaborate closely with internal teams to understand project requirements.
• Follow best practices for version control and code management.
• Provide client support by addressing tickets and resolving inquiries.

• Front-end Technologies: Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.js.
• Back-end Technologies: Strong experience with Node.js.
• Database Knowledge: Solid understanding of PostgreSQL.
• Version Control: Familiarity with best practices for code collaboration (e.g. Git).
• Testing: Knowledge of testing frameworks and methodologies.
• Problem-Solving: Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.
• Communication: Clear and concise documentation and reporting skills.

• South African Unemployed youth between the ages of 18 and 34.
• Must not have participated on the YES programme before.
• Matric
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information systems, or a related field — or equivalent professional experience.

• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Experience developing full-stack solutions.
• Understanding of cybersecurity best practices.

• Remote work with potential onsite visits if required.
• Regular team meetings and check-ins to ensure seamless collaboration.
