SUMMARY:
We are looking for an Intermediate Test Analyst to join our team based in Cape Town, Hybrid.

POSITION INFO:

We are looking for an Intermediate Test Analyst to join our team based in Cape Town.

Hybrid, initial 12-month contract.

Core Tasks:

Manual testing of Business Vault tables, HANA tables, data cubes, and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) reports
SQL scripting for data validation and reconciliation
Data structure and business logic validation
Source-to-target data comparison during migrations
BI tool-based output verification (SAP Analysis for Office, Excel)
Test tracking in Jira and documentation in Confluence
Cross-functional collaboration for issue resolution

Qualifications:

Relevant IT qualification with emphasis on technical testing competencies in both legacy and modern applications, for modernisation related projects moving from Mainframe to Open Systems.

Knowledge & Experience:

Minimum 5-7 years IT Experience with relevant experience in test analysis; design and execution.
Experience in life assurance or broader financial services industry will be an advantage.
Advanced SQL (joins, CTEs, subqueries, CASE WHEN).
HiveQL or Impala for large datasets.
SAP Analysis for Office and Excel proficiency.
Jira and Confluence experience.
MIS/Sales Data Hub incl. Data and Business Vault environment.
SAP HANA.
Consumption/Reporting.
Tableau.
SQL.
