Intermediate/Senior Business Data Analyst – Johannesburg – R500 to R700 per hour

POSITION INFO:

As a Business Data analyst, you will be responsible for turning raw data into actionable insights, crafting compelling data stories. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring that data-driven insights are at the forefront of the company’s strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform in-depth analysis of large and complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can influence business strategies.
Develop and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI.
Leverage Power BI to visualize data in a way that is both accessible and useful for non-technical stakeholders.
Craft compelling data narratives and visual stories that effectively communicate key insights and business implications to stakeholders.
Present complex data and analyses in a clear and concise manner, using data visualizations to tell the story behind the numbers.
Develop and implement data governance policies and procedures to maintain high standards of data quality and compliance.

Qualifications and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Master’s degree is a plus
Experience with data warehousing and ETL processes.
Familiarity with cloud platforms like Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud for data storage and analysis.
Certification in Power BI, data analytics, or related fields is a plus.
Engage with senior management and other key stakeholders to provide regular updates, reports, and insights that drive decision-making.
