POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities Conduct risk-based internal audits across various retail stores and business functions. Travel to various stores and locations to conduct on-site audits. Evaluate internal controls, processes, procedures and governance frameworks. Assess stock controls, operational processes and compliance with company policies. Identify control weaknesses, risks and areas for improvement. Develop clear, practical audit findings and recommendations. Prepare detailed and accurate internal audit reports. Perform follow-up audits to assess the implementation of recommendations. Assist with risk assessments and annual audit planning. Engage with store management and relevant stakeholders regarding audit findings. Communicate audit findings and recommendations effectively to management. Monitor corrective actions and provide input on improvements to internal controls. Support continuous improvement initiatives across the business. Ensure audits are conducted in line with relevant internal policies, procedures and professional standards. Requirements 2-5 years' experience in Internal Auditing. Retail industry experience is essential. Relevant degree in Internal Auditing, Accounting, Finance, Risk Management or a related field. Strong understanding of internal controls, risk management, governance and audit principles. Experience conducting risk-based internal audits. Valid driver's licence is essential. Own reliable vehicle is essential. Must be comfortable with regular travel to various stores and locations . Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong report-writing and presentation skills. High attention to detail. Ability to work independently and manage multiple audits and deadlines. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Professional audit qualification or progress towards one will be advantageous.
