The successful Internal Audit Manager will be responsible for:
- Interact with senior and middle management across the organisation
- Conducting engagements (fieldwork and reporting), managing projects, to doing research, collating information or providing analytical insights.
- Assist in identifying and assessing specific and ad-hoc / unique strategic, operational, reporting, internal control and / or compliance risks, directly aligned to business strategy, ensuring delivery against the Internal Audit plan and associated methodology
- Set the internal audit strategy and project plan and oversee the implementation
- Continuously drive internal audit process improvement to ensure a value adding partnership with business.
- Assist in determining the audit and advisory plan as well as determining resource needs.
- Performs audit work and analysis on complex audit areas.
- Review the work of junior team members and ensure the audit work and audit outcome align to the scope and objectives of the audit engagement
- Engages and influences business management to act on recommendations to strengthen the control environment and make process improvements.
- Effectively build and maintain business relationships with all internal and external stakeholders
- Management and Leadership: Provide direction and leadership to the engagement team in executing the Group’s internal audit strategy
Qualifications:
- CA(SA)/ CIA/ CISA
- BCom (Hons) in Internal Auditing
Experience:
- 8/10 Years Internal Audit Experience
- 2 years’ management experience in an Internal Audit or Risk Management function
- At least 3 years’ experience in a management role in Internal Audit function
- Experience in leading and managing teams
- Experience in Financial Services/ Insurance industry
