The successful Internal Audit Manager will be responsible for:

• Interact with senior and middle management across the organisation
• Conducting engagements (fieldwork and reporting), managing projects, to doing research, collating information or providing analytical insights.
• Assist in identifying and assessing specific and ad-hoc / unique strategic, operational, reporting, internal control and / or compliance risks, directly aligned to business strategy, ensuring delivery against the Internal Audit plan and associated methodology
• Set the internal audit strategy and project plan and oversee the implementation
• Continuously drive internal audit process improvement to ensure a value adding partnership with business.
• Assist in determining the audit and advisory plan as well as determining resource needs.
• Performs audit work and analysis on complex audit areas.
• Review the work of junior team members and ensure the audit work and audit outcome align to the scope and objectives of the audit engagement
• Engages and influences business management to act on recommendations to strengthen the control environment and make process improvements.
• Effectively build and maintain business relationships with all internal and external stakeholders
• Management and Leadership: Provide direction and leadership to the engagement team in executing the Group’s internal audit strategy

Qualifications:

• CA(SA)/ CIA/ CISA
• BCom (Hons) in Internal Auditing

Experience:

• 8/10 Years Internal Audit Experience
• 2 years’ management experience in an Internal Audit or Risk Management function
• At least 3 years’ experience in a  management role in Internal Audit function
• Experience in leading and managing teams
• Experience in Financial Services/ Insurance industry
