Internal Audit Supervisor

The ideal appointee for this role will have to adhere to all requirements and standards of the internal audit charter, and all codes and practices consistent with IIA Standards and International Standards for the professional Practice of Internal Auditing.  This role might require the appointee to assist with retail audits upon request. 

Education:

• BCom Internal Audit/ BTech Internal Auditor (similar qualification)
• Studying towards CIA (beneficial)

Job Experience & Skills Required:

• Advanced computer skills in MS Office (SAP is beneficial but not required)
• Minimum of 5-7 years’ experience in manufacturing and retail environment
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Managerial Experience
• Deadline driven
• Must be able to make sound independent judgments
• Great attention to detail and very diligent

Job Responsibilities:

• Responsible for conducting audits at various businesses in a team and independently
• Must be able to identify weaknesses in procedure, systems, and internal controls with necessary recommendations on steps to be taken to improve the internal controls and governance processes
• Implement the recommendations made
• Responsible for stock-take audits at numerous branches/factories/divisions
• Must be able to detect fraud and theft on organisation assets by carrying out ad-hoc or special investigations
• Must ensure that company activity follows relevant laws and regulations
• Must be willing and able to travel
