JOB SUMMARY:
Our client, a leader in the steel manufacturing industry, is hiring an energetic, independent, and service-driven Internal Sales Consultant in the Western Cape with knowledge and experience in the steel sector.

The ideal candidate should have strong business relationship management skills, a demonstrated ability to translate and execute customer expectations.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

REQUIREMENTS

Matric
4 – 5 years’ experience in a similar role
XERO or similar systems; Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word
Steel industry experience
Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisation skills
Self-driven with initiative, deadline driven, excellent planning & organisational skills
Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing demands and conditions

DUTIES

Reporting to the Sales / Branch Manager
Servicing companies existing customers as well as walk in COD customers
Quoting and estimating on telephone enquiries received.
Reporting on sales of orders received and orders lost & reasons on computer system
Cold calling new customers from leads/phone book/ internet as well as regular daily customer follow ups on quotes etc.
General office duties and stock takes
Keep project spreadsheet and book updated
Participating in Company held functions that are organized from time to time on an after-hour basis
Familiarize yourself with ALL marketing tools of the Company
Ensuring that reps and Sales Manager have copies of the quotes issued for the areas to be visited for follow up with clients and reporting back to you
Attend Sales Manager ‘s training courses on a quarterly basis
Attend sales meetings
Complete daily summary reports on e-mail to your internal manager on all cards phoned and new customers phoned
Ensure that customer computer information is current and updated, including contact details, e-mail addresses, position and birthday when dealing with the customer telephonically

Salary: R15 000 – R16 000 basic plus commission
