POSITION INFO:
This dynamic company is expanding its footprint across Africa and is looking for a strategic and solution-driven General Accountant to join its International Business team in Rosebank, Johannesburg. The business thrives on innovation, operational excellence, and empowering its people to grow into leadership roles.
As a General Accountant, you will play a key role in managing full-spectrum accounting functions including bookkeeping, creditors, debtors, reporting, and service provider management. Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, you’ll contribute to the preparation of management accounts and financial statements, and play a vital role in the development of the finance team. This role also provides an exciting opportunity for travel across Africa and future promotion into a Finance Manager role.
Job Experience and Skills Required:

Newly qualified CA or Post Graduate Accounting qualification (BCom Accounting, SAIPA, etc.)
Minimum 5 years’ experience in finance and bookkeeping
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (Sage Accounting advantageous)
Experience working in African markets is beneficial
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
Ambitious, self-starter with excellent communication and problem-solving skills
