A well-established industrial and trading business within a respected group environment is seeking a highly analytical and operationally strong Inventory & Procurement Controller to take ownership of stock control, procurement execution, logistics coordination, and inventory optimisation across the business.
This role is not suited to a transactional buyer or warehouse administrator.

We are looking for someone who understands the operational and financial impact of inventory, procurement, and supply chain execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage high-value inventory control and stock accuracy
• Oversee procurement processes and supplier coordination
• Handle foreign purchasing and import-related activities
• Ensure effective logistics and warehouse coordination
• Drive cycle counts, stock investigations, and inventory optimisation
• Monitor stock movement, stock holding, and replenishment planning
• Liaise with executive management regarding procurement and inventory performance
• Maintain strong process control and operational discipline
• Support cross-functional operational and commercial teams

Minimum Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in:
  • Supply Chain
  • Procurement
  • Logistics
  • Inventory Management
• 4–5 years’ experience in:
  • Inventory Control
  • Procurement
  • Logistics / Supply Chain
• Strong exposure to:
  • Industrial
  • Manufacturing
  • Trading environments
• Experience managing high-value inventory environments
• Strong understanding of procurement and logistics workflows

Technical Requirements

• Strong ERP exposure:
  • Syspro (Highly advantageous)
  • SAP or similar ERP systems
• Strong reporting and inventory systems capability
• Excellent Excel and operational data interpretation skills
