Inventory Clerk / Shop Assistant

The candidate must be presentable and a good communicator, have a grade 12 certificate and be computer literate. Pastel will be a distinct advantage. The compillation, receiving and sending of emails as well as relevant retail experience will be advantageous. The candidate must be willing to work retail hours including saturdays. Must live within a 20km radius of Randburg.

The position requires that the applicant is able to perform, but not limited to, the following key performance areas.

Inventory management and control. Management of stock holding into various storage areas. Counting of stock on a regular basis and completion of the total stock count in a 2 monthly cycle. Counting of power tools on a weekly basis. Goods receiving, including the off loading of palletised stock. Labelling & merchandising of goods. Replenishment & maintenance of stock on display stands. Processing & repackaging of smaller quantities of bulk inventory items. Interbranch & wholesale customer transfers of stock
