Inventory Controller - Pta East

JOB DESCRIPTION:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Facilitate the connection between the sales team, customer consignment location and warehouse.

• Manage inventory levels in line with the consignment location’s sales requirements, taking into consideration all open and pending transactions in the company’s ERP system.

• Pro-actively engage with sales managers and business unit heads to understand divisional requirements, growth aspirations and market conditions in line with inventory requirements.

• Co-ordinate and administer stock transfers between customer locations, sales teams, and warehouse locations to obtain optimal regional inventory levels to support area sales.

• Accurate and timeous capturing of stock returns from consignment locations in SAP.

• Support the sales team with the management of short-dated and expired stock.

• Effective reporting and analysis of consignment stock-on-hand, versus reconciled inventory counts (monthly).

• Document monthly consignment count results, including reason codes for missed counts.

• Investigate and manage warehouse related challenges pertaining to consignment inventory management, missing and expired stock.

• Administer and support technology and applications implemented to manage consignment locations.

• Take over the responsibility of managing and controlling consignment inventory to alleviate the strain on finance business unit.

• Investigate and present areas of consignment inventory management improvement.
