INVENTORY DATA ANALYST Location: Boksburg Industry: Mining \/ Engineering Employment Type: Permanent Introduction An established organisation within the Mining and Engineering sector is seeking an analytical and detail-oriented Inventory Data Analyst to support inventory planning, reporting and replenishment activities across multiple locations. The successful candidate will be responsible for generating inventory and buying reports, analysing stock trends, supporting production planning, monitoring inventory performance, and maintaining accurate inventory data within the ERP system. Key Responsibilities Inventory Planning & Analysis • Generate buying reports to support production demand, rebuilds, sales and inventory replenishment. • Generate forward-order reports for long lead-time inventory and supplier planning. • Monitor stock levels, inventory movements, slow-moving and obsolete stock. • Support inventory replenishment and inventory optimisation initiatives. Reporting & Data Management • Prepare daily, weekly and monthly inventory reports for management. • Maintain and update inventory-related Excel reports and dashboards. • Analyse inventory trends and provide recommendations to improve stock availability and reduce excess inventory. • Ensure the accuracy of inventory and master data within the ERP system. Production & Operational Support • Support production planning through inventory analysis and demand forecasting. • Maintain and update ABCD inventory classifications and stock parameters. • Assist with stock takes, inventory reconciliations and data verification. • Travel to assembly and fabrication locations when required. Qualifications & Experience • Grade 12 \/ Matric. • Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Inventory Management or a related field. • Data Analytics or related certification will be advantageous. • 1-3 years' experience in Inventory Control, Supply Chain Analytics or Inventory Reporting. • Inventory replenishment and inventory planning experience. • Experience working with ERP or inventory management systems. • Experience using Microsoft Excel for reporting and analysis. • Mining industry experience will be advantageous. • Dynamics 365 Business Central experience will be advantageous. Technical Skills • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. • Inventory reporting and analysis. • ERP systems and inventory databases. • Demand planning and replenishment. • Data management and reporting. • Inventory forecasting and stock control.
