Job Function

The successful incumbent is responsible for controlling and managing the accuracy of inventory movement daily and ensure inventory procedures are managed as per the customers’ requirements.

Minimum requirements required

Minimum of a degree or diploma in Logistics Management/Supply Chain Management
5 years of warehouse/inventory management experience
Excellent leadership skills
Financial management & excellent business acumen
Excellent communication skills
Experience in the chemical or dangerous goods sector would be advantageous

Key performance areas

Ensure the Standard Operating Procedures relating to the management and control of inventory are known, understood, documented, in place, managed, and maintained.
Understand and know how to make use of the various systems in the business; SAP, CSM etc.
Manage communications with the customer where required to ensure that the correct information is provided
Ensure stock is accounted for always and that claims and damages are managed and kept to a minimum
Ensure NCRs are raised and completed for all areas required as identified during the inventory processes and investigations
Ensure the correct positioning of stock in the Warehouse
Conduct spot checks in bin locations to ensure bin accuracy
Measure FIFO stock rotation principle, obsolete stock as well as expired/non-moving stock
Manage all aspects of stock takes and cycle counts
Manage and maintain Master Data on the database
Manage and maintain all relevant reporting
Achieve profitability targets
Achieve aggressive growth
Achieve system management targets
Achieve customer service targets
