Inventory Planning Manager

Our client, a fast paced equipment and machinery fabrication company, seeks to employ a well experienced and qualified candidate for their operation in Paarl, for a newly created position, due to expansion.

This is a very specific role and the candidate must have exceptional forward planning, costing and supply chain experience, as well as staff management experience, within a high pressure environment.Â

This is NOT suited to a generalist warehouse management or distribution sectors, it is a more complex role, with a strong inventory planning, forecasting, costing and reporting background, as well as development of policies and procedures.

The key criteria and requirements to meet are as follows:

• Matric with Maths or Accounting PLUS a tertiary qualification in Costing or Supply Chain, coupled with 5+ years experience in conceptualizing, developing and implementing stock/supply chain policies and procedures, as identifying and correcting risk, variance reporting, BOM drafting, Stock level management and planning on an MRP system (SAP, QMuzik, SYSPRO).
• You will have experience in import and export item/part procurement and procedures, follow up on stock in transit and work closely with procurement on parts and material adjustments and pricing.
• You must have proven planning skills, be a problem solver, work well independently and be able to multi-task effectively.
• Fluency in English and Afrikaans is essential, as well as being able to use Excel at advanced level, be a good communicator, both written and verbal and be goal/team orientated.
• Due to the nature of the role, you will have a clear criminal and credit record and all qualifications will be verified.
