Are you a Senior Operations / Warehouse professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment where people, productivity, service, quality and cost all have to work together?
Our logistics client is looking for an experienced Operations Manager to take overall responsibility for the performance of a busy Distribution Centre — leading receiving, storage, transport and picking operations while driving operational excellence across the warehouse.
This is a role for someone who has managed 400+ employees!

POSITION INFO:
Key requirements: Grade 12 with Higher Grade Mathematics Relevant tertiary Diploma \/ Degree \/ Qualification 5-7 years' relevant experience in Warehousing \/ Distribution , ideally within FMCG, QSR or a similar high-volume environment . Exposure should include: Warehouse & Distribution Shift Management Transport Management Inventory flow Supply Chain Management People Management Disciplinary processes Health & Safety Management Facility & Asset Management Contingency Planning Continuous Improvement \/ Best Practice Management of multi-temperature stock Complex, multi-site or multi-disciplinary operations Experience within large organisations and teams of 400+ employees Strong systems capability in MS Office Advanced Excel Advanced Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) Accounting \/ ERP systems experience Experience with Microsoft Great Plains is ideal Key Responsibilities; As Operations Manager, you'll be responsible for ensuring the Distribution Centre operates safely, efficiently, accurately and within budget . This is a Senior Management opportunity reporting directly to the General Manager , with responsibility for the overall performance and well-being of the Distribution Centre's receiving, storage, transport and picking functions.
