Inventory Practitioner

SUMMARY:
A reputable and well-established manufacturing company is seeking an experienced Inventory Practitioner to coordinate, supervise, and optimise inventory management processes across its operations.
This role is critical to maintaining inventory accuracy, supporting procurement decisions, and ensuring optimal stock levels in a high-demand production environment.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the full inventory management cycle, including forecasting, tracking, reconciliation, and reporting.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to streamline inventory workflows and enhance system integration.
• Supervise inventory team performance, coach staff, and contribute to recruitment and training.
• Conduct thorough inventory analysis to flag slow-moving, excess, or obsolete stock and implement corrective actions.
• Manage cycle counts, stock audits, and ensure compliance with inventory control procedures.
• Perform complex reconciliations and root cause analysis to resolve variances and discrepancies.
• Collaborate with procurement, finance, and operational teams to ensure effective inventory planning and reporting.
• Maintain accurate records and respond to internal/external audit queries related to inventory activities.

• A relevant qualification in Supply Chain, Logistics, Inventory Management or equivalent.
• Minimum of 3–5 years experience in an inventory control or warehouse operations role (manufacturing environment preferred).
• Strong knowledge of inventory systems, stock reconciliation, and FIFO practices.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and inventory management systems
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and reporting skills.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.
