A prestigious financial services firm is seeking a skilled Investment Analyst to join its high-performing Investment Consulting team. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned professional to work closely with a portfolio of sophisticated clients, crafting tailored investment strategies that align with their specific goals and regulatory considerations.

POSITION INFO:
Job Description:
Consult with clients to understand investment objectives and advise on portfolio construction, asset allocation and product selection
Leverage internal tools and research, including fund manager insights, performance analytics and strategic asset allocation frameworks
Assist in the design, implementation and oversight of client investment portfolios
Provide expert guidance on local and offshore investment structures, product wrappers, and platform selection
Stay up to date with South African and international financial regulations, including FSCA rules, CISCA, JSE listing requirements, hedge fund, and offshore regulations
Advise clients on tax efficiency (SITUS, income tax, CGT) and ensure strategies remain compliant with legal frameworks
Demonstrate deep understanding of investment products including Unit Trusts, ETFs, personal share portfolios, and UCITS-compliant vehicles
Maintain and expand client relationships through continuous engagement and top-tier investment guidance
Conduct in-depth market research to inform portfolio recommendations and ensure competitiveness
Support the development of new product solutions in collaboration with consultants and investment professionals
Oversee trading and portfolio rebalancing activities, continuously enhancing construction and optimisation methodologies
Analyse fund peer group performance and flag underperformers for portfolio improvement and reporting purposes


Skills & Experience:
Comprehensive understanding of financial markets, asset classes, and product regulation (local and international)
Demonstrated ability to translate complex data into actionable investment strategies
Strong interpersonal and client-facing communication skills
Proficiency in financial modelling, analytical tools, and market analysis platforms

Qualification:
A postgraduate investment qualification (e.g. CFA, CFP, or similar)
