Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct detailed financial modelling and valuation analysis to assess potential investment opportunities
• Analyse financial statements, operational performance and key metrics of potential and existing investments
• Prepare investment memorandums, reports, and presentations for internal stakeholders and investment committees
• Perform industry and market research, with a focus on identifying emerging trends and risks
• Assist in the due diligence process for new investments, including financial, commercial and operational assessments
• Monitor the performance of portfolio investments, including variance analysis against projections
• Support strategic initiatives through scenario modelling, forecasting, and sensitivity analysis
• Work closely with internal stakeholders to evaluate capital allocation decisions
• Assist with multi-currency financial analysis and reporting related to international investments
• Support strategic initiatives through scenario modelling, forecasting, and sensitivity analysis
• Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data used in investment evaluations

• Provide secretarial and analytical support to the Group Financial Manager
• Assist with the preparation of financial reports, board packs and investment committee documentation
• Coordinate meetings, maintain documentation and ensure follow-ups on key financial and investment matters
• Assist with technical finance analysis and ad hoc financial projects as required
• Act as a key support function in consolidating financial insights and preparing information for senior management decision-making

• BCom Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related fiel
• 3+ years’ relevant experience, either: Articles completed within the investment division of an audit firm OR Commercial experience in an Investment Analyst or similar role
• Strong financial modelling and valuation skills
• Proven ability to analyse complex financial data and translate findings into actionable insights
• Multi-currency experience is essential
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial analysis tools
• Experience within the mining or engineering sectors would be highly beneficial
• Ability to interpret complex financial information and communicate insights clearly
