SUMMARY:

This opportunity is ideal for an experienced Investment Banking Associate or Vice President with a strong M&A background and telecommunications sector expertise.

The role focuses on mergers and acquisitions, equity and debt capital raising, and strategic advisory across telecom operators, digital infrastructure, ISPs, VAS providers, and the broader technology sector throughout Africa.

POSITION INFO:
Our client is a leading pan-African investment bank and investment manager with offices across Africa and an international M&A network spanning more than 50 countries. The firm advises on complex cross-border transactions and is recognized as one of Africa's premier private capital markets advisors. Key Responsibilities Originate and develop relationships with telecom, digital infrastructure, and technology clients. Identify, evaluate, and secure new M&A and capital raising opportunities. Lead and execute buy-side and sell-side M&A transactions. Build and review complex financial and valuation models. Prepare investment memoranda, pitch books, teasers, and transaction documentation. Coordinate transaction execution with legal, technical, and regulatory advisors. Manage client relationships throughout the transaction lifecycle. Mentor junior team members and contribute to business development initiatives. Work closely with regional teams on cross-border transactions across Africa. Job Experience and Skills Required Minimum 7 years' investment banking or corporate finance experience. Proven M&A transaction execution experience. Previous telecommunications, digital infrastructure, TMT, or technology sector experience is essential. Strong financial modeling, valuation, and transaction structuring skills. Experience with equity and debt capital raising. Ability to originate mandates and build strong client relationships. Experience within investment banking, corporate finance advisory, private equity, or infrastructure funds. Exposure to telecom towers, fibre, data centres, or digital infrastructure will be highly advantageous.
